SPAY/NEUTER COUNTER (updated 4/26/2009): 710 animals spayed/neutered through our low-cost spay/neuter program since 2/2003.

Our Mission: To help bring about the day when animals no longer lose their lives simply because there are not enough homes.

Last year in the United States over 5 million companion animals were euthanized due in large part to pet overpopulation. AnimalHelp of Central Washington is striving to end this tragedy by creating and implementing local programs to decrease pet overpopulation and to find homes for animals in need. A few of the programs we have developed include low-cost spay/neuter, increased adoptions of homeless animals, a foster and transport network, educational outreach promoting responsible animal care and support for non-lethal feral cat management. We also have an e-group; an online network of Central Washington residents who are interested in helping animals. Animal Help of Central Washington is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, nonprofit organization and is operated entirely by volunteers. We want to take this opportunity to say thank you to Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah for helping us get started and for their ongoing support. Best Friends is the largest no-kill animal sanctuary in the United States.

Help spread the word about the importance of spay/neuter in the fight to end pet overpopulation. Buy and use spay/neuter postage stamps! Click here to order online or call 1-800-STAMPS24. You may also purchase the stamps at your local post office. Update: The spay/neuter postage stamps are sold out! Please click here to write the United States Postal Service and request that these important stamps be reinstated.

Furry Fact: Did you know that the nose pad of every cat and dog is ridged in a unique pattern, like fingerprints are unique to each human? Just another reason for your pet to be on its best behavior.
